If you have ever played a video game, then I'm sure that you have seen that message flashed on the screen, some times the message can be quite annoying.
Some people play for high score, others play for the next level, and some just play for fun.
The thing is; when you have been beaten by the machine no matter how you play the game you can always put in another token and start over with a fresh start.
In the game the further you advance the tougher it gets, now most of us have a computer at home and we each have our favorite computer game, so now instead of a token we just have to hit "Play Again". No risk so to speak just play until the outcome is satisfactory.
To bad that life isn't as easy right. When things get to tough and we hit a bump in the road and fall, it would be really nice to press "Play Again" so that we can avoid those pitfalls and trapdoors that we got suckered into last time. But life isn't a game with any re-dos and play agains, it is real and the choices and paths that we chose are ours to keep. I know that I have fallen for some of those trapdoors in my life.
So what do we do if we fall for those sneaky little diversions, shall we quit playing the game and turn in our unused tokens. What about giving it another try this time we bring our good friend who knows the way around the game, He knows the way to avoid the pitfalls and trapdoors. He even knows the secret to defeat the enemy, all we have to do is follow His guiding.
As I get closer to the endgame the enemy gets tougher and the pitfalls are easier to fall for, this is the time that I tend to take control again and feel that I know how this is going to end. Wrong I fail again.
Jesus is our friend who knows the way around this game we call life, He knows what path to follow to avoid the trapdoor and, If we listen He will tell us how do defeat the enemy. All that we have to do is ask for His help. He even has a game manual to read that has the secret codes to use to defeat the enemy.
