Are We There Yet?

I'm sure that we have all asked that question, or at least been asked the question. My kids have some interesting stories about family trips, some are made of good memories and some are remembered because of situations that I would rather forget.

We as a church body have had a very memorable trip this past year. My question is: "Are we there yet? It appears that there are different ideas as to where we would like our church to be going.

Sounds like some of the family vacations I've been on. The expectations of family fun get distorted, different ideas as to what to do, discussions get heated and before you know it the happy family is not so happy. But we are on this trip together. Although there are times that it would be easier and quieter if we all did our own different things. But that would not be a family vacation now would it?

So what do we do on our not so happy family vacation? Usually a little pouting and some self pity takes place, but then after a time we tend to come together and make the best of a difficult situation. Then a funny thing happens.......we tend to start enjoying each others company again and start having fun. We create memories of family times that are remembered over and over again, laughing at those difficult times and forgetting about the hurts.

So lets hug each other say were sorry for the hurts and enjoy the rest of the trip, after all we are the family of God right. If we as believers can't forgive each other and come together to build the Kingdom then how do we expect the non-believers to be drawn to us or God.
"Are we there yet?" ===Skid===
