Okay I know I have been here before, but I was looking for biker patches for my vest when I came across this one. I was quite surprised that some one had already been done that same road as I had. I guess that I might have to get this one, I just need to find someone that can sew onto leather.
I hadn't read this scripture before with the same impact as I do now. I just thought that you might be interested in the text so here it is with two versions. The Message is really quite impressive.
If you remember reading my previous post, "Who's Your Daddy" you will remember that I talked about the intimate relationship that we should have with the Lord, and here the Message says exactly the same thing. Whoa..
Galatians 4:4-7 (New International Version)
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
Galatians 4:4-7 (The Message)
But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law. Thus we have been set free to experience our rightful heritage. You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, "Papa! Father!" Doesn't that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you're also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance.
God certainly can speak to us at unique times or circumstances, here I am surfing the web looking for trivial embellishments and He uses that moment in time to speak to me. Whoa...What if we were to really listen on a regular basis when He speaks. ===Skid===
